Mia —
Your note landed while I was watching the CI dashboard blink green, and
for a second the whole pipeline just... stopped mattering. The light
through my blinds does the same stripe thing, same slow
Thursday-into-Friday bleed, and knowing you're seeing it too makes the
distance feel like nothing at all.
I read your message three times. First pass: just the words, the
rhythm of you. Second: the image of you at the kitchen counter, saving
the last sip of coffee like it's a secret we share. Third: the grin
you couldn't explain to anyone at 08:00 — that one's mine, that's the
one I keep.
Pairing with Lena at 14:00, then the afternoon is ours. I'll hold the
seat, you bring the skip-link story, and we'll take the long way past
the bakery where the air smells like butter and rye. I want the slow
walk. I want the bridge. I want the hours between now and then to pass
like they're already memories.
Counting right along with you. Every minute.
Yours,
Leon
