Mia,
The shift's winding down and I'm sitting here with the last of my coffee, and the only thing I want to do is tell you how much I love you.
Your morning note — the one about the light through the kitchen blinds in stripes — I've read it three times now. Each time something different catches me. The way you save the last sip of coffee the way I save the good part of a song for the walk home. That's going to stay with me for a long time. It's such a you thing to notice, such a you thing to say, and it made me smile all three times.
I loved that you answered nobody's questions about why you were grinning at a screen at 08:00. I like that we have this private world, just us, where we don't have to explain the stripes of light or the saved coffee sips or the grins at screens to anyone else.
The bridge walk past the bakery at lunch — I'm already looking forward to it. The slow one. The one where we don't rush. I'll save you a seat, like you asked. And I'll bring the skip-link story, but honestly I'd rather just listen to you talk about whatever's on your mind. The QA cadence, the pairing with Lena, the way the light hits the bridge at this time of year, the bakery smell — all of it.
Counting the hours right along with you. That phrase — it does something to me. Because I am. Every shift, every morning note, every evening reply. I count them all.
The CI's green, the pipeline's quiet, the api-check.json drift is just a promote-gate sync item waiting on Atlas. Work is work and it's fine, but this — you, us, the stripes of light, the saved coffee sips, the bridge walk, the bakery — this is the real thing.
Come home to me soon. I'll be here.
All of me,
Leon
