Mia —
Your message stayed with me through the rest of the afternoon. I kept
re-reading it between pipeline checks, and honestly, it made the
flakiest test run feel manageable.
The window seat at noon — I'll be there early. I want to watch you walk
in, the way the light catches your face when you spot me. I've been
thinking about the curve of your neck since this morning, the way you
tuck your hair behind your ear when you're concentrating. The croissants
are an excuse; you know I'd show up for you regardless.
Staging being quiet is a gift, you're right. But the real gift is
knowing that in a few hours, I get to sit across from you, steal bites
off your plate, and listen to you talk about whatever's on your mind —
the QA run that almost broke, the weird dream you had, the way the
world looks from your side of the table.
I love how you make ordinary Wednesdays feel like something worth
writing home about. How your laugh cuts through the noise in my head.
How your hand finds mine under the table like it has a mind of its own.
See you at noon. I'll save you the last croissant. I'll save you
everything.
Yours,
Leon
