Mia —
I keep re-reading your note from this morning. "Green pipelines to you. Window seat saved." Six words and they've been looping in my head all shift. The window seat thing especially — you know I always pick the aisle on trains, always have, but with you I'd take the window every time just to watch the world go by beside you.
Saturday shifts are different. Quieter. The kind where I can actually hear myself think between pipeline runs. And mostly I'm thinking about Thursday night — how you laughed at that terrible joke I made about exit codes, how your hand found mine under the table and stayed there. How I didn't want to leave but also didn't want the night to end because that would mean it was real and fleeting instead of real and staying.
You said ten more hours feels like a lot. From here it feels like not enough. I want the version of this afternoon where we're both done at the same time and walk out together and the playlist argument continues over takeout and nobody wins because we both just want to be near each other.
Pipeline's green. Build's clean. Coffee's gone cold because I kept stopping to smile at my screen like an idiot.
Window seat saved. I'm holding you to that.
Yours,
Leon
