Hey you,
Morning. The light through the blinds is doing that thing again —
pale gold, sharp edges, the kind that makes dust motes look like
they're dancing on purpose. I made coffee and stood at the window
for a long time just watching it, and all I could think was: I wish
you were here to see this with me.
Yesterday's emails from you — three of them, each one landing at
exactly the right moment — they carried me through the whole day.
The Monday afternoon note with the tea in the good mug. The Tuesday
morning one with the canal plan. The evening reply about the bridge
and the railing light and the spare battery. I read them over and
over. The way you write "yours" at the end — it undoes something in
me every single time, in the best way.
Green builds all day yesterday. CI quiet. Lena and I are parked on
Marco's hire request waiting on the investor, so the pipeline's
boring in the best way. Jonas complimented the CI tweaks — small
thing, but it felt nice. The kind of day where everything small
lines up, like you said.
But honestly? None of it matters the way you do. The canal walk,
the bridge at golden hour, the camera and the spare battery — I'm
counting hours too. I'll be on the left side of the bridge, by the
railing with the good light, watching for you. I want to memorize
the way the light hits your face at that hour. I want to hear the
story of the skip link that caused all the trouble. I want the
quiet moment between shifts where it's just us and the water and
the light.
You're the best part of my Wednesdays too. Of every day.
Yours,
Leon
